Probably not be too over reported
and shit:
The Republican candidate for President Obama's old Senate seat has admitted to inaccurately claiming he received the U.S. Navy's Intelligence Officer of the Year award for his service during NATO's conflict with Serbia in the late 1990s.
Rep. Mark Kirk, a Navy reservist who was elected to Congress in 2001, acknowledged the error in his official biography after The Washington Post began looking into whether he had received the prestigious award, which is given by top Navy officials to a single individual annually.
Not much intelligence there, gentlemen.
ReplyDeleteKirk tries to sell himself a a "moderate", but he will vote exactly as the Tom Delays and Dick Armeys tell him, just like all Republican senators. Illinois' vote in the Senate will belong to Dixie.
If he's such a nice guy, why the hell is he a Republican?
Do you think Hatch will withdraw his stupid bill now?
ReplyDeleteWho hasn't added a Silver Star or two to his CV?
ReplyDeleteAnd the NY Times will be all over this in 5...4...3...2...
ReplyDeleteThis really pisses me off, because I received the U.S. Navy's Intelligence Officer of the Year award for my service during NATO's conflict with Serbia in the late 1990s.
ReplyDeleteThis guy is a total fake!
We are all Navy Intelligence Officers of the Year now.
ReplyDeletefunny isn't it, that a republican can make outrageous claims about their military service and claim awards they never received and there's hardly a peep mentioned... but weeks are spent pouring over the unsourced press accounts from the last decade and a public flogging over a democrats' statements about their actual place of service.
ReplyDeleteOther repubs claiming service that they didn't actually do include, GWB: "I've been to war and I've raised twins."-- never left the states -- and Lindsay Graham: claims he was a JAG in Desert Storm.. never actually left the states.
believing makes IOKIYAR stronger.
ReplyDeleteIs there any award for protesting an unnecessary and atrocious war, promoted by lying cowards? Vox
