He'll be writing bipartisan columns about Beelzebub by Breakfast

RIP Mr. Broder where there will be ever-running marathons of 'Matlock'.

I don't know whether that is heaven or hell to be honest.

Respects to his family, and not to be be too self-centered, but there goes half my act!

Heaven Or Hell? Surely, you mean something in between. A bipartisan compromise has been struck between God and Satan, and David Broder will be spending his eternity in limbo, where he belongs.

I'm with gypsy on this one, Atta. He'll be in limbo, eating toasted American cheese sandwiches, iced tea and tomato soup.

  3. HA! As soon as I heard the news I wrote watertiger and said, "Oh noes! Broder is half of Attaturk's schtick."

  4. My deepest condolences, attaturk.

But have no fear: Richard Cohen is still alive and kicking.

  6. As pansypoo has already stated, there's always other fish to fry. Bobo has really been on fire of late.

FWIW, Attaturk, you were the first person I thought of when I heard the news of Grampa's passing. Sorry for your loss, dude.

So the "Hindenberg" of Pundits" is dead. In case you're wondering, eighth circle, bolgia six. Express train.

There are ten thousand Republican operatives, but very few accomplished more for their masters. When our children look back on a ruined America, his descendants will have to live with the fact that Broder did more than his share to destroy a once great country.

And let's stop giving linky to the WaPoS. Here's the NYT obit:

The Gray Lady had the sense to chase him off after two years. They knew he was poison.

Well, they're still playing I Love Lucy episodes after all these years - surely your Matlock! posts can go into syndication. I know I could read them over and over and over and over again.

I didn't want to speak ill of the dead. Then I just heard about what's just happened in Wisconsin, and although Broder didn't do it (he's dead), I'm mad at every one of these jackasses and their apologists, living and dead.

I wonder if a three pallbearers per "side of the aisle" rule is specified in his will?

That would be the middle half and not the two quarters on the left and the right.
