A visibly angry Santorum told Fox News host Greta Van Susteren that Obama’s targeting of corporate jet owners defies the candidate’s pledge to bring Americans together
And Santorum wasn't alone, a whole slew of Republican Senators joined in, defending the right of Corporations to keep buying their own jets rather than hiring people or paying their workers.
But they didn't call the President a "dick" so their position is quite sound and acceptable with the rest of the Village.
I doubt that it's just this--it's any increase in taxation on the wealthy, and a change in the subsidization of corporate jet travel would be a marginal increase on CEOs, the principal beneficiaries of the tax advantages of corporate jet travel (David Cay Johnston has detailed how the ordinary taxpayer picks up the tab for this subsidized travel in Perfectly Legal).
ReplyDeleteAfter all, the privileged class wouldn't be as privileged if they didn't get special treatment by their underlings in Congress....
And who was that dude that apologized to BP because Obama had the nerve to expect then to be somewhat accountable for their attempt to kill the Gulf of Mexico?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, Rep. Joe Barton (R-Texas). They're all contemptible asswipe protectors of the wealthy and over privileged.
Obama has been acting as enabler for the clown car for 2-1/2 years, while dumping on his friends. That is indeed being kind of a Cheney.
