I hate him precisely because of his dad (Poor, Poor Pumpkinhead) who should have died of shame for his "off the record unless they give permission" reputation as the place to go when Cheney wants to "control the message".
Well, lessee, if young Timmee, Jr., were bright, inquisitive, original and genuinely thoughtful, he never would have gotten the job. However, because he is a dopey, boring, ploddingly conventional and utterly banal stick-figure chip off the old block, nepotism guarantees him a seat at the DC table.
Maybe that's why people outside DC think he's a toad in Dockers.
I've managed to live my life without being even dimly aware there was such a person a Luke Russert. I don't feel my life has been the least bit diminished by that blessed ignorance.
