Apart from McChrystal's clear tendency to be a bull in a china shop, what I got from the article is that there's a remarkably different standard for "brilliance" inside the military than outside.
There might be a clue there about the right wing, too....
Charles Krauthammer was on Bill O'Reilly (damn rain delay in the Mets game) going all psycho-babbly about how Obama's not firing McChrystal would be an incredible demonstration of Obama's internal strength.
I really wanted to go all Richard Widmark/wheelchair/staircase because we all know that if Obama doesn't fire McChrystal, we're going to be hearing the wimps in Washington talking point until Jeb Bush takes office in 2012.
