That certainly isn't tea

Glad to see there's no hypocrisy there. Congressman Trey Radel, a tea party freshman lawmaker from Fort Myers, was arrested on Oct. 29 for cocaine possession in Washington, D.C, Politico reported. And to think, just a hooker away from the rock-star lifestyle.

  1. "If Radel had been arrested in his home state for cocaine possession, he would have faced far more serious consequences than in Washington. The crime is a felony in Florida, where Radel would have lost his voting and other civil rights had he been convicted in state court"...what a shame he wasn't...I suppose we'll need a heartfelt apology, maybe a tear or two, and we can get back to our re-election strategy.

It's a felony in Florida, but my hunch is that if Radel had been arrested/charged there, he'd get some sort of sweetheart deal ... the Rush Limpbone precedent.

As his defense, he'll blame Obama.

This jerk was a big proponent of drug-testing welfare recipients, of course.

  6. And yes, he got a sweetheart deal--a $250 fine and a year's probation in return for a plea.

I'm sure the feds will extend the same terms to the next 19-year-old black kid they catch with 3.5 grams of coke on him. Right? No?
