With two days of confirmation hearings set to begin Thursday, Holder must demonstrate his independence from Obama to a vocal chorus of GOP lawmakers who want to warn the incoming president that he should not veer too far to the left on national security and judicial nominations.

As opposed to Alberto Gonzales who was allowed to suck on Bush's teat a connection which was praised by Republicans. Not to mention, even a requirement of knowing about the law was important for Alberto.

I'm sorry, GOP, I certainly do not want an Attorney General dedicated to carrying out illegal torture.

All of these assholes should be tied to chairs...or more appropriately handcuffed to a wiremesh ceiling and forced to watch "Taxi to the Darkside".
