David Brooks

On the Newshour (not verbatim): One of the "good things" about the war is that we have gotten good at battlefield medicine, so we have fewer people dying and more people injured. Yeah, good thing about war David. As Atrios would say, wanker.

There can be no more defense of the war, the peace, the aftermath, the not bringing the troops home, the extended tours, the stretching our military beyond the breaking point, the mistreatment of our veterans, injured or not, the giving tax breaks to the wealthy, the letting the poor do the fighting, because it is all futile and has been mismanaged beyond description. No more defense, David Brooks. No more.
