Remember when this was kind of a big deal?

This was a big story every few years when I was a kid, I remember when Ted Turner won it.

I remember when it made the front page, not just of Sports Illustrated, but also Time and/or Newsweek.

And then the U.S. finally lost, and then everybody -- but especially the Americans outrageously cheated to win it back. Now who really gives a shit?
