FIFA, the governing body of international football is one of the the most corrupt sports organization in the world, which is saying something with the International Olympic Committee's having as its secret motto: Higher, Boozier, Unmarked Bills Only.

[Amnesty International's] report, based on two recent investigations in Qatar and scores of interviews, found workers living in squalid, overcrowded accommodation exposed to sewage and sometimes without running water. It found that many workers, faced with mounting debts and unable to return home, have suffered "severe psychological distress", with some driven to the brink of suicide. Discrimination is common, according to the report, which says that one manager referred to workers as "the animals".
But at the end of the day, what do human beings matter, really? The money was placed
in the right hands (not the morally right ones, of course).

The Qatari authorities insist they are being proactive and say the World Cup can be a catalyst for change.
