Why do I have a feeling the above will pretty much be the New York Post's lede the next four years, between ghoulish race-baiting, while those voting for de Blasio spend the same period disappointed it isn't more accurate? Perhaps because that's the way it always goes.
Meanwhile, in Virginia the last desperate effort of Ayatolla Cuccinelli was made.
Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R) has been getting a last-minute boost in his bid for governor, with a number of robocalls accusing his Democratic opponent of profiting off a dying man and favoring "abortion on demand."Ooh, Virginia remains for incompetent lovers -- a slight bit of good news for Kenny the Cooch. Kenny asked God for a miracle, and apparently the Almighty said, "meh, not with Santorum involved".
On the other hand, no American Pol came out and admitted they were, in fact, smoking crack, but ONLY because they were as usually rip-roaring drunk. So, uh, Freedom?

For our American Pol, those sweet, sweet campaign contributions are all the crack they need. The Cooch and Mac show just burned through $54 million on about 2 million voters, for a cost of about $27 per voter.
That "Post" cover is something else. I guess being a progressive Democrat is the same as being a Stalinist in Murdoch's twisted world, where it's OK to boink Rebecca Brooks at the same time you're doing the KGB phone bugging dance on UK officials and private citizens. But hey, "Private Police State Very Very Good, Public Welfare State Very Very Bad."
VA publikkklans gave up on the purist for the GOP as usual. but still couldn't win with tea.
Ken Cuccinelli goes down in Virginia, in what was a banner night for sodomy. Cuccinelli's campaign endured a slow grind as competitor McAuliffe snuck in through the back door after a long, bumpy ride. The last minute thrust in McAuliffe's poll numbers was indicative of this electorate's pounding, undulating, quivering division on social issues.
According to anonymous source "Deep Throat 2 - The Cuccinelliing " voters didn't respond to surging spurts of "Obamacare being shoved down our throats" rhetoric coming breathlessly from teabaggers like Cuccinelli, ending in an explosive evening... and Cuccinelli left with egg, or something, splattered and dripping slowly off his face.
