Bush Administration Policy Logic works on a plain familiar to Orwell readers.

To sell the policies laid out in memorandums he has read to him, Bush is having the plan sold to Wall Street, and those worried about the deficit, by the charismatic John Snow:

...to reassure Wall Street that his approach, which could involve trillions of dollars in new government borrowing, is consistent with efforts to reduce the budget deficit and improve the nation's financial condition.

Yes, I know what you are thinking. WTF? Indeed.

As many have noted, they are selling this idiocy like they sold the Iraq invasion.
