Tom Friedman's "Analogy Quest"

Tommy Friedman once again manages to write a pie in the sky column criticizing those critical of Bush's intervention in Iraq by not remembering that his constant cheering helped bring about the Clusterfuck that is Chimptopia.

And how does he manage to do this, via analogy, as ever.

Tommy, I for one, am tired of you making broadbased pronouncements based upon the random stranger, or buddy you talked to his week that managed to say something you could use to support your failing world view.

He then goes on to impliedly complain about the fact that people who are critical of the Bush Administration are cheering for the failure of its policies.

Is it possible that those critical of Iraq now were the same people critical of the Iraq War at the beginning, still standing with their jaws agape at the fact that you still smear them? Being one of them, I can tell you I take no joy in any of this god-forsaken tragedy, but I'm quite rightly angry, and quite rightly pissed at enablers of this stupidity like yourself.

In short, on that account Tommy, from one native Minnesotan to another...

Skol Vikings, We're Gonna Win Twins, and FUCK YOU!
