Well-done history

If you want to see well-done television history about the "good war" and making a deal with the devil, to beat a greater devil, then this program, the first part of which aired last night on most PBS stations is for you.

The lesson is, moral conundrums are a lot more defensible if you are not the party responsible for starting a war.

A lesson George W. Bush and his acolytes refuse to learn or were incapable of doing so.

There are two-parts yet to come and they will no doubt make you squirm over the choices FDR & Churchill had to make.
