Every village needs an idiot, but must the village be full of them?

It is amazing how punditry is a well-paid position where accuracy is not so important not rocking the boat of your fellow villagers.

Getting by in this world with things like health insurance, a retirement, and less than 2,000 square feet to raise your brood is for the little people, the silly people, the non-village mass known as the American People.

And if you're not a member of the village, well just too far beneath the elite to be dealt with in non-petty manner.

Do not criticize Jonathan Alter, or he'll bite -- or more realistically paddle his hands at you really fast. Remember you've been PWNED Glenn Greenwald:

Pat Buchanan's just a gruff-ol' Nazi apologist, but he's just peaches with Jonathan Alter compared to a dirty effing hippie and his blog.

Well, at least we know there's another person on earth that can be as sanctimonious as Joe Klein.
