Talk about stereotyping

I truly appreciate the irony of Conservative Southern Senators continuing their tradition of being wrong about every fucking civil rights issue ever to come before them. Today's "winner" Saxby "Chicken Hawk" Chambliss. Saxby won his seat seven years ago by portraying a decorated military vet who lost three limbs in the service as a coward -- while S-A-X-B-Y went all Dick Cheney in the 60s.

Sen. Saxby Chambliss (Ga.). "In my opinion, the presence in the armed forces of persons who demonstrate a propensity or intent to engage in homosexual acts would very likely create an unacceptable risk," he said, putting homosexuality in a category with "adultery, fraternization and body art."

I wonder how much John McCain enjoyed having the commission of "adultery" by military equated with being gay?

And as for "body art" (i.e. tattoos) -- uh, Saxby, have you ever met an actual member of the modern armed forces?

Or even watched a Popeye cartoon?
