Sign of the cross

No matter how brutal, murderous or oppressive the right-wing will find a way to defend a self-proclaimed Christian over the alternative every time.

Sick.

Partly because of his oil and gas boosterism and his anti-global warming tirades, people overlook the fact that Inhofe is also a religious loony.

He's spent a lot of time in Africa (at taxpayer expense) promoting some real slugs who also happen to have religious agendas, especially in Uganda and Cote d'Ivoire. He's a big backer of the people in Uganda who want to put homosexuals to death.

I've spent a lot of time looking and have yet to find a single principle of the American founding and Constitution that the Christian right* won't jettison** as soon as they feel threatened in the least.

They like them teh strong, godly and authoritarian leaders - no matter how much the godly is a scam. Especially, if teh leader savages the heathen, the infidel, the pagan, the gay, and the naughty women***. Oh yeah, and the liberals and the intellectuals.

*would also apply to any other fundamentalist tribal religion

**or modify to Christians only
