In Ferguson...
...the recent actions of other police officers have revealed the depth of the rift between the Ferguson community and local authorities
On Wednesday, police officer Lt. Ray Albers was suspended after video surfaced of him threatening and pointing a weapon at a crowd of Ferguson protesters.
Then on Friday, police officer Dan Page, who worked in Ferguson during the protests, was suspended after video surfaced showing him making racist, sexist and homophobic comments during a speech addressing the Oath Keepers of St. Louis and St. Charles. During the speech, Page unapologetically called himself "a killer."
Around the same time, another St. Louis-area police officer, Matthew Pappert, was suspended for posting incendiary messages on Facebook, including a statement that reportedly said Ferguson protesters should be "put down like rabid dogs."
Meanwhile no criminal charges filed yet filed in the death of Michael Brown.
But, hey,
speaking of dogs...
A Wyoming police officer has pleaded not guilty to animal cruelty charges tied to the death of a dog left inside a sweltering patrol car for more than six hours, local media reported.
Priorities, I guess.

A. Mitchell Holder has bamboozled folks into thinking some justice is coming.
And Kansas City, Mo. cop, Marc Catron, who took a photo of a young black man, added the text "I am certain the media is searching for a photo of 12 year old Michael Brown, like the Trayvon Martin photo they used,Here's a photo of the deceased: 'gentle giant - poor, unarmed, college bound teen' in Ferguson , MO. ........ most likely NOT the picture the defense will use", was stew-pud enough to post it on his own Facebook page - and now has his sorry racist ass under investigation.
It came to me last week in one of those stupid Reich-wing emails we all get.
This is precisely the juxtaposition of events I was thinking about when someone said that Michael Brown had been gunned down like a dog in the street. See, unlike a dog being gunned down, we don't have a big outpouring of bipartisan community concern, wondering if there was possibly some other way the situation could have been resolved. Unlike a dog being killed or abused, nobody has brought charges against the police officer accused of shooting Michael Brown. Unlike the shooting of a dog, people are seriously discussing whether the officer involved shouldn't be getting some kind of medal or other public recognition for his actions.
When someone says that Michael Brown was gunned down like a dog in the street, the comparison is very bad; people across the race and income spectra are far more concerned with the shooting of a dog.
i gotta wonder about those 3 black officers work conditions + personal attitudes. + the pacific islanders.
