Truth, Lies, and Whatever

According to the official mythology, something close to 60,000,000
supposedly voted for the Chimperorator. 56,000,000 supposedly voted for Kerry. Since this is reported as a 60% (near record!) turnout, that would mean about 80,000,000 voted for none of the above.

Both of the parties, all of the hegemonic mouthpieces, and even many of us, have simply disappeared those folks. Who are they? Who knows? 25% of African American males are in the criminal "justice" system. That is a group of millions that has been systematically disenfranchised. Nobody knows how many "illegal" immigrants are in the shadows, but certainly millions more. I suggest the religious right, while well organized and relatively numerous in some sectors (particularly white males and those under their control), are still a minority in this country. (Curiously, CNN had a category for them but the data are missing--showing 0's.) They are still struggling, unsuccessfully, to gain control even in Kansas. They have to ally themselves with their corporate sugar daddies. Of course, the kleptocratic and cowboy sectors of the right-wing are happy to use them as a social base for their fascist agenda, but the corporate globalistas will still try to keep a rein on them both.

Meanwhile, there are tens of millions who are pissed off enough at them that they stood in line for hours Tuesday in an illusory dream. A lot of them may be in despair for now, but life goes on, and you have to dream to live, and your dreams need to have roots.
