I like to consider myself the testicle-bearing Pauline Kael of the fez wearing Big-10 university educated set; so here is a quick movie review.
I happen to generally like watching documentaries and last night I saw "Why We Fight" the film from Eugene Jarecki that I had been waiting weeks to work its way to the midwest.
I would encourage everyone to see it, I'll just leave it at that. Although, ultimately, it is very, very, depressing. It reaffirms what many of us have always felt, we are all being played for suckers.
If you have a free afternoon or evening, I'd suggest a double-bill of "Why We Fight" followed by "V for Vendetta".
Trust me.
