1. Do you approve or disapprove of the way George W. Bush is handling his job as president?
Now 29% approve, 66% disapprove: down from 33%-62% in early June.
5. From what you have heard or read, do you think President Bush was right to commute Libby's sentence, do you think he should have gone further and granted him a full pardon, or do you think he should not have intervened at all on Libby's behalf?
19% Believe he was right to commute or should have pardoned
66% Believe he should not have intervened at all
USA Today also asked the "Impeachment" question, as is now becoming in vogue:
2. As you may know, impeachment is the first step in the constitutional process for removing a president from office, in which possible crimes are investigated and charges are made. Do you think there is or is not justification for Congress to begin impeachment proceedings against President Bush at this time?
36% are in favor, not a small percentage (bigger, I believe than any percentage desiring it at any time for Clinton) I expect that will grown (I don't endorse it by the way, not that it may not be justified)
Further, more than seven in 10 favor removing nearly all U.S. troops from Iraq by April.
