The Rich Are Different From You and Me

They pay $600/hour to see qualified mental health professionals, for one thing.

Dear NYT,

No one cares about the troubles of rich people, or of the psychiatrists that treat them. The fact that the rich are angst-ridden over the state of their tennis games doesn't assuage the rest of the population's anxieties over $4.50/gallon gas, $3.50/gallon orange juice, or $2.00/trip subway rides. And by the way, we don't need $600/hour shrinks to tell us that their problem is a surfeit of narcissim. Sheesh.

xxx...res

P.S. Rich people may also want another billionaire to be our next mayor, but that doesn't mean that the vast majority of people who live here (who are not rich, by the way), do. Just because a bunch of fat cat Republican thugs think we're in a "golden age of New York City government" doesn't mean New York City is experiencing a golden age. And by the way, Bloomberg is a Republican.
