A rare heart-warming story

Following a terrible act by extremists against Coptic Christians a few days ago, this occurred:

...by Coptic Christmas Eve, which took place Thursday night in Egypt, things had changed completely. As Egyptian Copts attended mass at churches across the country, “thousands” of Muslims, including “the two sons of President Hosni Mubarak,” joined them, acting as “human shields” to protect from terrorist attacks by extremists. The Muslims organized under the slogan “We either live together, or we die together,”

So how much of this has been ignored by our American media so as to portray ALL Muslims as either being terrorists or enablers?

Hogwash!
The American media for the most part is on tenderhooks when it comes to the general subject of Islam.
Whenever Islamist terrorism is the story most media do go out of their way to state that terror is perpetrated by a fringe element of extremists, which of course is obvious to most people.

The tendency is more towards whitewashing than demonizing Islamism, as was demonstrated in the early part of the Iraq occupation when suicide bombers were frequent. For example, major media outlets used language such as militants rather than using the more accurate term of terrorists.

Funny, 'militant' the term the media always use when a white right-wing nutjob is caught with a house full of explosives and guns, violent literature and maps of potential targets.

Whereas some pissed-off Muslim teenager with no weapons and no training who mouths off about blowing up the universe is maneuvered by the FBI into incriminating himself, is always a 'terrorist'.
