Welcome to what will be known as the "Teens"

Which, of course, begins in the year no one ever thought about, or may think about again if you didn't live through it. Hell it doesn't even end in "teen".

Quick, without resorting to Wikipedia, name one massive historical event that happened in 1911, 1811, 1711, or 1611?

Thought so.

On the other hand, the year doesn't really start until February when you start entering the year correctly on your checks.

The year of the rabbit begins on February third. In the meantime, happy Solar New Year to all Hegemaniacs/Hegemonians! And while I'm in this mode, I'd note that the Xinhai 辛亥 revolution happened in 1911. Which of course, is why it will soon be the 100th year of the Republic in Taiwan. So I'd say your readers in Taiwan, at least, could rise to your challenge.

Tippecanoe without Tyler also, happened in 1811. The Triangle (I'm blanking here) NYC fire that killed 140+ people (mostly young women and children) happened in 1911....okay, okay, not so good news in the teen years. (Don't ask me for anything earlier- I'm old ..just not that old).... Then again Standard Oil got served by the Supremes in '11. Would we have a little more from this bunch Supremes, would be nice......... Well a boy can dream can't he ? Maybe Palin will get a brain and Roberts a Heart ;-)
