The Catholic Cardinal in Egypt was witnessed hand in hand with a Muslim cleric, both in their religious dress with the pro-democracy demonstrators. He was speaking about national unity, stating that the myth of sectarian strife is only made by the failing government security apparatus and urge people to unite as Egyptians. The Muslim cleric also stated the same.

Too many have a romantic view of the events in Egypt. That's wrong. After the current event will culminate in, hopefully, a decent and honest regime (far from guaranteed), Egypt will have its major problems.
Abject poverty, underdevelopment, lack of suitable infrastructure, lack of democratic institution and organization, etc.
Copts and Muslims got along reasonably for hundreds of years; their unity will make little difference.
Then they both took a trip to Afganistan to bugger little boys...
including the copts?
failing security apparatus leaves the Old Man floating alone on a sea of insecurity...blind to his fate..copt out by both jesus and mohammed

oh?
On New Year’s Day, after Mass, it is suspected that a suicide attacker went after and attacked a Coptic Christian Church in Alexandria, Egypt. Of those around, 21 people were killed and 80 harmed.
During Coptic Church services after the attack, the churches were surrounded by large crowds of followers of the prophet as protection from further fundamentalist violence.
Corporate dictator Rupert Murdoch's hired thugs and Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak's hired thugs are pushing the same propaganda. What a surprise.
