Not only do I think a government shut a lock, which is going to be real popular with everyone who doesn't watch FoxNews...but they are cluelessly enabling the GOP to privatize their medicare ... the one's it is supposed to leave alone.

As Atrios has said, turning this combination into a political Hindenburg would be easy to do for any opposing party with a semblance of political competence.

Privatizing Medicare, which would turn control of it over from the ruling class to the people, is a wise thing to advocate.
Once the GOP demolishes Medicare and Medicaid, the Democrats will have them right there want them (queue moronic evil laugh)! Then we'll show the people who the true defenders of the working people and poor are!
