Flatlining

People did NOT want to watch the GOP Convention last week, and when added to speeches that were fact-less, tactless, hopeless, and lacking humanity caused pretty much no change in the Presidential contest.
Both are locked at 48 percent, according to a CNN poll released Tuesday. That gives Romney a 1-percent bump from a little more than a week ago, when Obama led 49 percent to 47 percent.

“The Republican convention had at best a mild effect on the presidential race, and from a statistical viewpoint, no effect at all,” said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland told CNN.com.
And while Obama will certainly out speechify his competitor, get ready for more of the same ratings and polling-wise. Conventions grow more irrelevant every cycle.

Of course, the Democrats still might get Betty White to talk to an ottoman, which would be a big hit.
