The president believes as much that God should be taken off a coin as he does that aliens will attack Florida." That's the response from Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki to Mitt Romney's apparent suggestion at a Virginia Beach, Va., rally on Saturday that Democrats hope to take "In God We Trust" off American money. There is no such effort.Romney's implication was puerile even for a Steve King-type but Mitt was probably distracted by his pending bromance with David Gregory. I suppose post-interview planning on who you'll baptize together can be distracting [I bet it was John Chancellor].
But refuting it by saying it is as unlikely to happen as aliens attacking Florida is going to cause an Orson Welles-like panic among Romney's base.
Oh well, another reason to buy gold I guess.

Instead of caving (like last week); DEM flipped a (albeit gold) coin on this one!
But....But....But, Aliens did attack Florida. It was called the Republican National Convention in Tampa.
