As we were waiting to get into the arena when it was on lock down along with a few hundred folks, including press and delegates, David Gregory walked to the front of the line and told the [U.S. Secret Service] that he needed to enter immediately. The officers said they recognized him but were unable to allow him through. After some conversation he was let through. This being a convention, the crowd obviously recognized him and were very vocal about the fact that he was let through - all of them incredibly irate.
