"Unpopular" and "Not Respected"

Such words used by Human Hangnail Brit Hume are irony under any circumstance. The cartoon pundicracy of FoxNews is pushing to laugh track (if tragic irony is your thing) to extremis nowadays. Yesterday I tuned in for a couple of minutes, long enough to hear Bill Kristol & Brit Hume suggest we bomb North Korea on the way home from bombing Iran. Yet not a peep on Darfur.

But that is not all, while the GOP continues to support Denny "Critical Mass" Hastert's inability to remember things that even Reagan would have instant recall over, Hume says this:

HUME: Let's talk about this possibility -- it seems likely now, in almost all cards that the Democrats will get control of the House, which will bring us two years of Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who is not a popular figure or respected figure nationally. Her behavior will be more visible than ever, more conspicuous than ever. What effect does that have on the possibility of Hillary Clinton being nominated or even elected in 2008? I think it is a very good question. I suspect the effect would not be terrifically positive.

Gee, Brit, go all bitter against the ladies much? Trouble at home?
