No snark, we're in a shitload of trouble whether the stimulus passes or not, but the likelihood of disaster increases exponentially if the stimulus doesn't pass.

The media coverage, especially the broadcast media, has been complicit in building up the beltway to try to kill it. Obama's proposal is far from perfect, but it's a light-years better than the GOP counter.

Is a harbinger of doom. To see the blue-dogs of the Democratic Party help in the undoing is aggravating to no end.

On Friday we're going to get January's employment figures. It is going to be a bloodbath. I wouldn't be shocked if the economy lost 3/4 of a million jobs or more.

Frankly, if it tops 7 figures it might actually have the side-effect of getting the stimulus passed.
