Matt Taibbi & Charlie Pierce

I saw them speak at the Mark Twain House on Saturday. I'm all jammed up at work right now, so I'll tell you about it later, but I'm really glad I braved life and limb to get to Hartford, even if it was kind of a stupid thing to do. Anyway, you should check out their respective blogs in the meantime.

Mr. Pierce: I was the audience member who yelled out the answer to your query re Santa Clara County vs. Southern Pacific Railroad.

In the midwest we blandly observe
Your weather has gone from topsy to turvy
But RIL has shown that what caused him to shout
Was a court case no others knew much about.
Let's start to insist
on a return to the rails to help our economy get restarted. (Anon. fmrly known as vox)

...I will still listen to "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" because I love Charlie Pierce more than anyone - even Charles Pierce - loves the entire concept of New Orleans...

But "Introduce yerself next time, son" made me laugh out loud...

Sorry, Res, but as a long-time Atriot lurker, I just couldn't help myself...
