Today's OBL news reminds me to remind you, once again, about The Looming Tower, which is not just one the best books I read about Al Queda, but one of the best books I've read. Period. The intervening years since September 11th and/or the book's 2006 publication won't make it any less intersting or timely. It's well worth your while.

Read All About It

I heartily concur. It was on your recommendation that I bought and read The Looming Tower several months ago. It is exceptionally well researched and well written, and gave me a much better understanding of Al Queda and the genesis of fundamentalist Islam.
