Knowin' how to pick 'em

James DeMint resigned from the Senate (as a representative of South Carolina) some months ago -- so he could get a big pay raise to be the head of the conservative Heritage Foundation. What better place to be rewarded with seven-figures at a think tank, when this is your big thought:
DeMint said if someone is openly homosexual, they shouldn't be teaching in the classroom and he holds the same position on an unmarried woman who's sleeping with her boyfriend — she shouldn't be in the classroom.
Classy. Naturally as head of the Heritage Foundation, DeMint used his first big project -- critiquing immigration reform to keep those big "ideas" flowing.
One of the co-authors of the Heritage Study claming immigration reform would add $6.3 trillion to the deficit, Jason Richwine, advocated barring immigrants from entering the United States based on their IQ in 2009.
Really getting their Confederate Dollars' worth the Heritage Foundation.

Of course, no one's suggesting that the leadership of Heritage be based on IQ, are they?

The Cruz Amendments stop when the other side walks away from the table.

It’s time to walk away from the table. Pain is a patient teacher, and will be happy to carefully and tenderly apply the lessons of 2012 to our friends on the other side of the aisle again. Maybe next time they’ll pay attention.

So, if an unmarried male teacher has sex, should he also be barred from the classroom?

Come on Demint, tell your Southern male supporters that they shouldn't have premarital sex. See how that goes over.

Uh, Raoul...No. As in:

"(A pregnant) Teri James, 29, told the news outlet that she did sign a two-page contract with San Diego Christian College that included a provision agreeing not to engage in "sexually immoral behavior including premarital sex."

...James said she was humiliated after being pulled into her supervisor's office last fall, where she was asked if she was pregnant and then was let go. ... the school (then) offered a position to her now-husband, even though they were aware he'd had sex before getting married, too."
