So good to know that twerking is the biggest evil in the world, because otherwise I'd be concerned more about
this:
Radiation levels around Japan's Fukushima nuclear plant are 18 times higher than previously thought, Japanese authorities have warned.
Last week the plant's operator reported radioactive water had leaked from a storage tank into the ground.
It now says readings taken near the leaking tank on Saturday showed radiation was high enough to prove lethal within four hours of exposure.
The plant was crippled by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
The Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco) had originally said the radiation emitted by the leaking water was around 100 millisieverts an hour.
So how were those readings so faulty?
...wait for it...
However, the company said the equipment used to make that recording could only read measurements of up to 100 millisieverts

Amid the outrage rises a clamor for the Japanese government to take over management of the disaster. This would be done by allowing TEPCO to “spin off” Fukushima, placing the costs in the laps of the taxpayers.
TEPCO is but a small cog in the Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank (DKB) keiretsu, which includes the familiar names of Sankyo, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Isuzu, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yokohama, along with many other companies that don’t have a large presence in this country.
The DKB Group has the resources to clean up their own mess. Tokyo doesn’t have the political will to make them pay.
"placing the costs in the laps of the taxpayers."
Which is how things are already set up here in 'merika, if, heaven forbid, we have another major nuclear power plant accident...
Ain't freedom grand?
i am SO glad these mother fuckers delayed putting salt water on the rods when we had a sort of chance NOT to make godzilla real.
enjoy the sushi.
WTF, are "the dog ate my homework" Coalition Provisional Authority alumni running TEPCO now?
JGov: "What's the radiation reading now?"
TEPCO: "Uuuhhh, 100 millisieverts an hour."
JGov: "OK, holding steady."
Later --
JGov: "WTF? You lied to me!"
TEPCO: "The intelligence was faulty. Not my fault."
There's a black comedy script in this somewhere. Part "Godzilla," part "Dr. Strangelove," part "The China Syndrome."
You go to measure with the detectors you have not the detectors you wish to have..
