One Way to Oppose the Neocon Religious Right Agenda

Those with a radical and a liberal perspective need to re-emphasize that the system is biased! The entire damn system is biased! And we need to defend our ideas and perspective on the grounds that it provides a more accurate analysis of the world (yes, yes America and more) than the Neocon Religious Right Agenda arguments do!

To simply appeal to "free speech" comes across like: "We may be wrong, but give us a chance anyhow!" Specifically, when confronted with issues of bias, we should immediately ask whether the Neocon Religious Right Agenda that discusses how to keep soldiers fighting a war that was never needed, that discusses how to keep workers' wages lower are biased in favor of corporations, like Halliburton. We must ask whether the Neocon Religious Right Agenda that FAILS TO DISCUSS how Bush intensified globalization has intensified misery all over the world are clearly and severely biased.

And how biased is the Neocon Religious Right Agenda that asserts that the content of the U.S. political system is fine and we only need to examine public relations rather than the content of what politicians say or whether or not all votes are counted? We are fighting a Neocon Religious Right Agenda that ignore the political-economic stresses that affect psychological well-being, a Neocon Religious Right Agenda neglect African-Americans, women, the working class in general by forcing the more honest among us to demand ghettoized attention to our concerns, but we have to do SOMETHING to deal with the bias in this accepted Neocon Religious Right Agenda!

We should ask why those who complain about "liberal bias" why they have NO CRITICISMS of the pro-Bush bias of so many in the media! We need to reach out to all ages but especially young people who are especially sensitive to and hostile towards hypocrisy -- and the extent to which we expose hypocrisy goes a long way to building support for critical thinking and weakening those dishonest attempt to marginalize those who have a critique of the Neocon Religious Right Agenda.

Generally, it is better to insist, to demand, to encourage people to find errors in what so-called political leaders say and do on the basis of the evidence, rather than making an Absolute appeal to "free speech" or "democracy" that asks for mercy and polite discussion. And that Absolutist type of argument in the Neocon Religious Right Agenda also makes it difficult for us to critique power holders.

Of course, we should oppose all attempts to impose the Neocon Religious Right Agenda which is creeping (or is that running these days?) toward fascism and erode what bits of civil rights we might still have. But we should be strong and make our appeal based on evidence and analysis to win these arguments and to help build critical thinking consciousness, rather than only making an appeal that sometimes sounds like we are saying: "Hey, we might be correct, we might be incorrect, but stop picking on us!"

Better to expose the corruption of the Neocon Religious Right Agenda and the other mainstream political institutions than to huddle defensively in the corner. There is a lot more at stake than just us -- misery is intensifying all over the United States and, for that matter, Iraq and the rest of the world, and the importance of building a massive critical thinking consciousness where people will not accept assertions -- "Show us the empirical evidence!" -- and commitment, can make a huge difference in the lives of millions of people.

How we think and what we do does make a difference.
