Idiocy

You know, when you ultimately cave, after a strong, and deliberately misunderstood statement -- especially when you are actually winning the argument intellectually, it only focuses and gives credit to the original idiots in the first place.

Democrats need to stop letting the GOP define Bullshit.
I'd rather no one, who isn't a blogger (caveats that allow me to be a smartass) shouldn't dole out Nazi comparisons. However, anyone without an agenda would know that Durbin was making a statement about how America is better than the Nazis, better than Stalin, better than Pol Pot (the latter two magically not coming up in the talking points) and should never allow itself to be realistically compared in regard to the abuse of prisoners.

But noooooooooooooooo, the right when fucknuts and declared he was calling our troops Nazis.

No he wasn't, the statements bore him out. As Swopa stated:

...it's reasonable to wonder what the hell is wrong with so many Americans -- how could they be more upset over the words of a politician than about the sickening spectacle of U.S. soldiers chaining someone to lie in his own excrement for hours or days on end?

To concede one iota to the noise machine, concedes the lie. Showing no goddamned spine just allows people to say, "they are both the same, the political parties" and that is bad for us. Somebody has to fix this goddamned mess, and it isn't going to come from the GOP. Stop enabling them.

And how does this work?

Durbin gives an apology, he should never have given and the Right-Wing, led by the Administration just uses it to rip him up more...when he was right originally in the first place.

Exhibit A of this process:

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, in an interview to air Wednesday on Fox News Radio's "The Tony Snow Show," tried to equate Durbin's comment with actress Jane Fonda calling U.S. soldiers war criminals during a visit to North Vietnam in 1972.

"Some people always in their lives say something they wish they hadn't said," Rumsfeld said. "We just watched Jane Fonda run around trying to recover from the things she did and said during the Vietnam War. ... He said some things and he's going to have to live with them, and I think that that's not a happy prospect."

Defense Department spokesman Glenn Flood said Rumsfeld stands by his statements, even in light of the apology.

You know you old ghoul, you should have to live with 1,700 plus needless deaths of soldiers and more than 10,000 permanently maimed Americans and 100,000 plus Iraqis on your conscience, and you're saying bullshit about "deadenders" and "known-unknowns".

That is how it works, because Dick Durbin (and others) cave and allow it.

Screw it, fight, fight, and fight!
