The whole 10-day vacation thing never ceases to amuse me. Granted in most situations a President never gets a vacation (but remember who we are talking about here).
I haven't taken a Summer Vacation in 10 years...or more, I honestly don't remember the last time I took one. And here I am, cranking out a bunch of work again on a Saturday and Sunday.
But enough about me, let's talk about you talking about me. ;-)
Seriously, we have again gotten this list of books Bush has supposedly read or is reading while at Rancho de Fuckup. The latest being the "high school lit" classic "The Stranger", even getting "praise" for quickly reading a book that is all of 150 pages long. What's next, only taking a week to plow through Animal Farm, aka 'The Dick Cheney Story'?
Just one time, I would like to see someone from the press corps actually quiz Bush on these books he's allegedly read. We've seen this guy in operation for nearly six years as President, I find it hard to believe he reads anything more literary than Marmaduke -- I doubt he "gets" the sledgehammer subtlety of Mallard Fillmore for chrissake.
Quiz him, quiz him, quiz him!
I demand evidence of literacy and retention!
