Anything bad happen while I was out?
Actually, the sentiments of Res, Champollion and DeDurkheim summed it all up pretty well. In his commutation of Scooter, Bush proved a few things.
One, admitted Libby was guilty, so stuff yourself on that one "no underlying crime" assholes.
Two, that immediate relief from actual criminal penalty is the not a bonus of being in the Bush Administration, it is a feature.
Three, lying for Dick Cheney is expected.
Four, Dick Cheney is President.
Fifth, Bush managed to go through his entire Texas term and six and a half years as President without pardoning or commuting any sentence of felons without following a formal procedure, including an apology, but Attiticus Bush decides just this once, for Dick's buddy Scooter it's appropriate with Fifth Amendment immunity to match? Riiiiiight.
Sixth, much of the gas bag pundits so incensed at the Clenis's violation of the laws of nature and God in getting himself a hummer and being cute about it -- saying he should RESIGN, are a-okay with Irving getting a virtual mercy fuck from George Bush for outing a spy who worked in a vital area which "justified" Operation Clusterfuck.
Seventh, there should be no place in the country any of these clowns go that should not be dominated by the now three-fourths of the country that holds them in utter contempt. As the feeling is mutual all-around.
