That's some logic

Shorter E.J. Dionne:

I really don't know how the fuck a blog community works.

KOS = RUSH

Funny, I don't recall Rush being a vet; or Kos being addicted to the blue meanies; or, for that matter, Rush allowing all manner of ideological posts and commentary by thousands of people with virtually no filtering.

But other than that, exactly the same.

I realize that Dionne is progressive, but the concept of a blog has existed for a while now and become a fairly pervasive presence in the American scene -- hence President Clusterfuck McBunny's Administration adding right-wing blogs to the talking point list.

It would be nice if before a columnist writes about blogs, even moderately sympathetically, which I think was his intent, he learn a few things about how they work.

First, as all of you know there are three types of bloggy blogs in the political sense.

There are blogs that are singular or have a few posters, like this particular monstrosity. There a blogs that aren't really blogs but are nothing more than elaborate message boards, like Democratic Underground or Little Green Snotbags. And then there are blogs like Daily Kos which are essentially blog-conglomerates where thousands of blogs mash into one metropolis, with certain bloggers having automatic access to the best locations to be read. Every blog is somewhere in that continuum.

It isn't hard, it requires about ... oh, an hour of time over a period of three months and you will get it.

But sadly, they do not want to get it.
