It's amazing that when Broder talks to a Republican Spin Merchant, he breathlessly -- and essentially uncritically -- reports, that things are such that "it can only be good for Republicans".
It sounds like parody, but it is not.
Only Democrats are partisan, Republicans are simply idealists wanting desperately to compromise -- as long as they don't have to compromise on their end.
