Yes, it really is fair to compare 'em. Saw "Blood" today. P.T. Anderson could stop making movies today and be remembered for one great ("Blood"), two really good ("Boogie Nights" and "Magnolia") and two good ("Hard Eight" and "Punch Drunk Love") movies. But I hope he doesn't.
