Meanwhile, the punditry is never inclined to actually ask candidates about policy, unless they have a capital "D" behind their name.

Of course, some of McCain's bullshit is sooooooooo thick some of the media eventually realize they've been played after they've pushed out the bullshit. But God forbid they might think this ahead of time...after all 1,053 straight prior instances of being played is still not enough of a trend.
