Ruh-Roh

I'll ignore whatever sloppy knob-job Liz Sidoti or Ron Fournier are "sprinkling" on John McCain this morning to focus on this:

NBC News reports that the police officer's union of Alaska has filed an ethics complaint on behalf of Mike Wooten, the trooper who was embroiled in a dispute with the Palin family, and who the governor is alleged to have attempted to have fired.

According to NBC News:

The complaint alleges that the governor or her staff may have have improperly disclosed information from Wooten's personnel records. The complaint alleges "criminal penalties may apply."

In responses, believe it or not, they admit they used these records...because Todd Palin got them through his sister-in-law's divorce attorney.

Um, when does a client's brother-in-law so easily get access to the legal files from his sister-in-law's lawyer?

The answer I guess is when his wife is the governor.

I'm not sure of the legality of this arrangement (which "probably" violates a confidentiality/protective order in the divorce case [i.e. hard to believe the records were released by the State without such an Order] -- and definitely does if access was obtained another way).

But it stinks of abuse of power to high heaven.
