My Election Day

I am assigned as part of the Obama voter protection team to a nice little polling place adjacent to a private university in the center of Des Moines so my access to the internet is limited so I am suffering severe withdrawal. The coffee shop across the street is my only access point at least for now. The refreshing picture I can report is a lot of students voting in this same-day jurisdiction and even those that have to return with the proper id are doing so without much complaint. The staff at the precinct of middle-age and older women are unfailingly polite and helpful with the students. I'm off to watch more democracy being made.
