federal legislature is frustrating? Come to New York, where the
state legislature is so utterly corrupt, its
Democrats' political skills so pathetically weak, and
its governor so terminally passive that a
hyper-tanned old fat cat's fit of pique (with an assist from Nixon/Atwater/Rove protege
Roger Stone) can set the state spinning like a top.
