Cue Lee Greenwood Redux

Imagine if a Democrat or a Dirty Fucking Hippy (same thing) had said this -- oh, it would set Jake Tappers little member stiff with pleasure and we'd here about it incessantly the next month -- but if you're California Republican Representative Wally Herger instead of say Barack Obama, you can pal around with terrorists all you want:

One speaker said he could trace his ancestors back to the Mayflower and said “they did not arrive holding their hands out for help.”

I am a proud right wing terrorist,” he declared to cheers.

Herger praised the man’s attitude.

“Amen, God bless you,” Herger said with a broad smile. “There is a great American.”

In addition to the praising of a self-described terrorist (does Herger have a soft-spot for Tim McVeigh?) I do love the guy who says his ancestors came over on the Mayflower "NOT" asking for handouts.

That must come as news to Native Americans. After all, not only did the Pilgrims need help from local tribes to survive (hasn't this guy heard the Thanksgiving story?) but they got small-pox in return. Setting a three-century pattern of White Guys screwing Native Americans and then having the nerve to come up with the phrase "Indian Giver" anyway.

Truly the first Republicans.
