Driving on the shitty-ass roads of Des Moines...staying off the interstate because it was almost entirely black ice because the road-crews are financially limited in what they can do. Two thoughts went through my mind during those moments that were not filled with anxiety and/or terror.

Second, and more substantially, thanks so much Olympia Snowe for keeping the size of the Stimulus down by taking away that money designated to help out State and Local government.
