At least it's not the Wickerman remake

One of the hilarious side-effects of Nicholas Cage's self-delusional bankruptcy is watching the guy pay off those debts by taking one ridiculous movie role after another.

How can one watch the ads for 'Season of the Witch' and not know this is a gigantic turd?

Shatner has more dignity.

A man with the IRS on his heels has no dignity. Leaving Las Vegas will always be one of the best movies about the American experience ever made.

Agreed, StonyPillow. I also love Adaptation -- but that was nine years ago, back when Cage was plying his talent with peers of some merit, like Meryl Streep, Spike Jonze, Susan Orlean, Charlie Kaufman and Chris Cooper.

The great thing about America is that he is just a talking beaver puppet from redeeming himself.

My friend and I commented on this last night over beer.

I speculated that Nick's very expensive treatment had put him deeply into hock.
