Not just for Steve King, but for the entire state of Iowa.
And these are the people that somehow will manage to remember to breathe for the next year until they convene in Caucus to select their exemplar of stupid as their Presidential candidate.
Now you know why, as an Iowan, I'm counting on you New Hampshire.

Absolutely mind boggling stupidity. What is their problem with having representative government in Egypt?
First of all I'd like to say that there are many fine and sane Iowans. I suspect there's been skullduggery in choosing the panel.
Then, to the idiot that claims that we're a republic and not a democracy, I'd like to say......wait a minute, that's not very civil. Let me just point out that we are a representative republic that chooses our representation democratically - by the will/vote of the people..... generally..... hopefully [shakes fist at Supreme Court].
Not too hard to comprehend. I suspect that the confusion could be cleared up by reading other than at "patriot" sites and listening to other than Becktonian lunacy.
Sure, the franchise has expanded to include the non-propertied, the poor, women, the hippies, and "the colored", which is what I suspect is his/their main gripe.
In that sense we are a democracy. Suck it. If you don't like America then leave it.* Opps, there goes the civility.
*couldn't resist the throwback having been on the other end in the 60s/70s when hard-hatted morons were screaming it. Of course now the patriot cause is all about bringing the government to its knees. The times, they are a changin'.
They are completely immune to communication from the real world. Hermetically sealed in their Murdochian cocoons, they trot out every bit of misinformation as if this was part of their catechism, refusing to engage a single facet of the clip they were just shown.
If you substitute "black" for "Muslim" the whole conversation makes a lot more sense. And "bigoted self-satisfied know-nothings" for "Republican caucus voters," too.
Jimmiraybob, of course there's skullduggery... this is a Frank Luntz production... you don't think he'd leave the outcome of his focus group to chance do you??? He's got talking points to construct and narratives to shape, and you can't do that without knowing what the outcome of these groups will be, the group activity is purely to backup his research*
*missives from the Koch brothers and other mega-wealthy assholes that want more, more, more.
" I think this crisis snuck up on him. I don't think he knows what to do." ...... CLASSIC !!! The irony is just soooooo precious. As for the Obama is a Muslim, Corn Shit. Forgive them father , for they have been told/fooled what to think. ........ And aside to the Turk. Assuage your grief over the failings of a few Iowee-ans. I'm very confident that FAUX could find a gaggle of geese in every State.
Hey! Where was the black Iowan? Did he have to work that day? Man, that's one white crowd.
I also loved the, "he gives textbook answers" part. I wanted to scream back to her that she just tossed out a sound bite like she knew what it meant.
Remember this:
"New research suggests that misinformed people rarely change their minds when presented with the facts — and often become even more attached to their beliefs. The finding raises questions about a key principle of a strong democracy: that a well-informed electorate is best." (Study. U. of Michigan,November 2010)
Facts, apparently, don’t matter much to Iowans. Or conservatives.
In fairness to our blog host Attaturk (not to lump him and all Iowans together) Luntz did give the disclaimer at the very beginning that his "focus group" consisted of only REPUBLICAN CAUCUS voters... so the stupid IS concentrated.
Stupid, but sly enough to imply they can build as truth a mighty cornfield of lies...and then watch the rubes and yokels come to drink the koolaid and see hate and fear bloom where once just corn did grow. vox
No need to apologize. Nobody should expect a group of Hannity hand picked Iwanians to be any smarter than any other such group from any other state. Remember too no matter how bad King is your formerly hyper sane neighbor to the north has Bachman and to my knowledge he never humped W's leg, in public.

"He only talks about democracies, he doesn't know what a republic is."
And that's when I clicked stop.
Iowa wins the morning! But on the plus side, your state has lovely lawns.

The "he gives textbook answers" part was particularly ironic.
A 'focus group' seated like a choir.

FUX gnews must be awesome there.
Well, sorry, Iowa, but at least there's some good news on the Clarence Thomas tax fraud story...

Cut-off YouTube headline almost reads like an _Onion_ headline:
“Iowa Focus Group on Obama agrees: He’s a Mulatto.”
